Frustrated with the "art" directors of the modern era, Tom took the role of traditional director and/or producer more than a few times when productions were worthy of more than the current offering. The standing directors usually glad for the input or the shouldering of responsibility on someone else. His experience as a Project Manager in the engineering field has had many cross-overs in the role of director and producer. Lastly, I have seen Tom at work and how be coaches actors and brings out their best. This is a rare qulity for a human, even more rare for a modern director.
